The Preferences Window
The MIDI pane will let the user choose among several MIDI input and output options. Thanks to DLS (Downloadable Sounds) support, MIDI events can be routed to virtual instruments.

MIDI events can also be routed to the MidiMapper patch. This way up to three performers can perform with one Clienttheir playing being merged and re-routed to different destinations by the MidiMapper.

In the Sampler pane, one can choose bank files and set the parameters of the built-in sampler .

In the Attributes pane, event buffers can be set for each Client individually in order to compensate for network jitter, likely to occur over large distances.

Audio levels and reverberation can be set manually or with a Behringer BCF 2000 fader controller.

In the Plugins pane, vst plugins can be selected either for audio processing or VSTi playback. The most recent version of Quintet.net also introduces a customary Audio Extensions format, which can be controlled via a user-defined input or the Server's event mapper.

The Network and Video panes, finally, are concerned with the settings for network jitter compensation and live video-streaming.
